ILS Photovoltaic: Processing of crystalline solar cells

The ILS models are laser tools that have been especially developed for the photovoltaic industry for processing monocrystalline and polycrystalline silicon solar cells. Typical processing methods include: Laser Edge Isolation, Laser Fired Contacts (LFC), Selective Emitter Doping (SE), micro via hole drilling, SiN / SiO2 ablation, laser cutting, surface modification and laser scribing.

The system enables several (different) laser sources to be installed. This means that two wafers can be processed by laser simultaneously, or one wafer can be processed in successive steps using different laser types. Top-quality equipment and optimum coordination of all components enable a throughput of up to 4,000 wafers per hour.
