InnoLas Systems utilizes its very precise knowledge of the processes used in the industrial manufacture of crystalline solar cells and thin-film modules to constantly identify new applications for laser microprocessing. This involves on the one hand optimizing familiar laser processes by fine-tuning parameters such as wavelength, laser frequency, laser power, pulse duration, pulse energy and process flow and speed. InnoLas Systems develops and produces processing systems both for manufacturing monocrystalline and polycrystalline silicon solar cells and for processing thin-film solar modules (CIS/CIGS, CdTe, a-Si/ยต-Si). The systems of the IMPALA series are designed for precise processing over a large area with state-of-the-art technology for CIS respectively CIGS and other thin-film modules like cadmium telluride (CdTe), amorphous (a-Si:H) or microcrystalline silicon.
